I know the ones you mean you might get them in Roches Stores they would havea pretty large hosiery collection. There Clerys or Arnotts are your best bets :)

Jonathon Aston or Aristoc tights in Brown Thomas will most likely have that style. I've seen them there before. Or try M&S too.

Brown Thomas no longer sell normally priced hosiery since the renovations. Dunnes or M+S are you best bets, Dan. Actually Marks have a great range of patterned/ coloured tights/stockings etc about €8 or less a pair. Dunnes are similarly priced, but their range isn't quite as extensive. I'm pretty certain M+S have something like what you describe.

    The 1940's style tights?
Penney's have them for much cheaper than everyone else.
Bought a pair there the other week.

Just throwing this out there but i find those type of tights seriously unattractive.. up there with fishnets and oddly coloured ones.

You can jump on me now and go CERAEZY defending them

Some people like them & some people don't...it's called personal taste :D

If you don't like em, don't wear em ;)

I really like them. I wear fishnets and have stripey tights in a range of colours. The only ones that look terrible are leopard print ones...I swear I saw a woman wearing the in M&S in the Jervis Centre.

I've seen them in Pennys as well. Concidering there is a high likelihood that they will get ripped paying for them as cheaply as possible is the best bet me thinks. Afair they were around the €5 mark in Pennys

Nah, I wont go crazy thats just your opinion! I like them I think they make legs look really elegant esp when worn with a nice pair of stilettoes.

Not great.. I didnt get a chance to look in Dublin yet but I had a look around Carlow with no luck whatsoever.

and whoever said it, yeah it is the 1940s style I was thinking of!

I have such a ridiculously large collection of patterned/coloured/fishnet tights. I can't help it. I think they look cool.

Wife had a pair of Jonathon Aston black seamed stockings which she got here on last Saturday when we went out for a meal..

she had on a black top with a black skirt with 4.5 inch black and red stilettos heels and looked like sex on legs.. even more so to me cos she is nearly 5 months pregnant:D

    any pics?

I'm not so sure about seamed stockings myself... probably have to see a few more examples in real life to come to a conclusion ;)

A lady friend of mine wore the type of tights you're talking about a few times. I f*cking loved them, I don't know why, just looked damn fine on her.

@ chump PM me an email address and I'll see what I can do;)

My favourite seams she has are a pair of stockings with diamonds running up the back along the seam, she gets some looks when she wears them out!!
