I was asked to take a few photos of an Easter Egg hunt organised by Muckross Park Past Pupils' Union.

Just posting a few photos up to see what everyone thinks, either good or bad.

In the group picture a small part of the children's feet is cut off, and in the last four pictures where you have 1 child in the picture I think the composition would have been nicer if you didn't center your subject (rule of thirds).

By my count there's what, one kid looking at the camera in the group shot? Pushed I'd say 3/4 at the very most. Whoever they were staring at should have been standing behind you or they should have been told to look at the camera. Looks a bit messy. I'd probably have put them sitting on the steps a few up from the bottom, kept the camera at the eye level of the lowest line and shot upwards at a slight angle. But that's just me.

The second last looks like a good PJ shot, it could appear in any newspaper across the land and nobody would be any the wiser that a pro PJ hadn't taken it.

The second and third shots are odd. It's like the kids were distracted (granted they are running around having a larf). I don't think there's any real merit in them.

I'd throw a small bit more contrast into all of em.

    Thanks for commenting!

Yeah, when I say Iwas asked to take photos, it was really by mam 'cause she's on the union. So it wasn't like a paid gig or anything! :D

and in the group shot, I was having so many problems with annoying parents who kept on walking into the frame or distracting their kids to get them to smile thus distracting them from me!!

again, the group shot.. I'm 17 and look even younger so I was having a hard time getting things in order and under control... I'll bring my megaphone next time! ;)

Thanks for the nice comments on the 2nd last photo, it took me a while to figure out what a PJ was though! hehe

That'd explain it. It's not till about 20 that kids decide you're an adult and they should be some way good... Or else I'm just very scary...

Just because I'm from Cork doesnt mean I'm impatient, bossy and scary. It's just a coincidence, honest :D
