Hey guys, I took a quick look through the stickies but I though someone might have a better idea what I'm looking for.

The girlfriend managed to break the screen on a fujitsu siemens laptop.

I have a fair idea it'll be under warranty as it was the case of the lappy itself that did the damage (when closed it rests against the screen rather than being seperate). The only question is, if she does have to pay for it, where would we take it and how much would it cost?

    Thanks for any help gents,

    Cabelo

Was in a similar situation recently.
Usually works out more expensive to have a screen replaced that
    the laptop is worth.
Don't be suprised with quotes in the region of €500.

I took the screen out of mine and got the replacement part no.
Managed to get one off E Bay for €100 and fitted myself.

Even on different brands and models of laptops the screens can often be the same.
