    Sandy

Why the change to a Saturday? This now clashes with a game Im promoting in Maynooth. I specifically picked a Saturday as I hope to attract some of VN players and checked with Nick.

Olly, Do you want to register our team for the team event while you are there? If you have to pay can you cover and I will give you the money when I see you and then get off the rest? I should have sent this via PM shouldn't I?

I may have given this game a go too but I will be in Sligo for the weekend.

Can't make either this game or Big D's game tomorrow, have plans tomorrow evening (non-hot date related, tragically) that I can't get out of. Good luck to all boardsters that attend.

    Sandy,

Can you tell me who won what? Great game btw, i played too aggressively on the final table, as always.

Except for small games, I'm never playing another 20 blind structure. At least 30 minutes in live games to call it poker.

i came second Des and the man who knocked you out won it.(by some amazing luck).
for what its worth Des i dont think you did anythingwrong at all in the FT.
the hand that knocked you out JJ V AT the fock got lucky and hit one of his 3outs.
later on when it was 3 handed i was cruching the two of them .eventually same player raises my blind and i knew he didnt have much so i reraise him same amount an he calls.
the pot is about 50K t this stage.ive got 120 behind me and he has 50.
    i have Q7 and flop comes 2 6 k rainbow.
i ask him how much his got and he sayd 50K and i say yeah all in.
he calls in a flash and i thought oh feck his got the K.
he had 25o and i didnt improve.
few hands later he goes all in with K4s and gets called by the other player with KT.
flop comes A K 4.so the other player was out.
second hand in the HU he goes all in and i look down and see A8o and i know its good against his range so i call.
    he has K8.
flop 77K and i dont improve and he takes it.
not much of a player at all but his luck ws unreal

1st-John Mcmannely. He played about 1in every 3 hands it just seemed to be his day.
3rd-brian vickers, played well made a good few moves and got away with it, unluck when he made a good call k10 vs johns k4 however a k4 flopped and it was all over for brian.

thanks Sandy, c u next month.

congrats and hard luck gholi. pity u didn't call me when I got those pocket aces! ;)

I was steaming from only winning 50 quid (ie losing 65!) so I went into the Fitz and dropped another 150 in ten minutes. Then I sat into the Omaha game with a few drunk/crazy guys and got very lucky to win a 750 pot. But I was 85% sure my low straight was dead in the water. Live to fight another day i guess. c u at the Cup game.
