What to do about Junk Post

    Hi.

I received a letter today trying to sell me tickets to some property buying event in England. The Company that sent it is based in the UK, but the return to address is Brussels Airport! This is obviously junk post and I never signed up anywhere to receive it or anything like it. They have contact details on the web, email, a postal address, and a UK phone number. I'm afraid that if I contact them and ask to be removed from their mailing list that I'll only be confirming that I exist! I'd also like to find out how they got my name and address - how could I do that?

What should I do? I hate f*ckers sending me sh*t I dont want and want to stick it to them. Could comreg help me?

I understand that advice given here is legal advice - Im really just asking for opinions on what other people have done before.

    Thanks!!

    Tim.

Cant really answer your query, but I got rid of Readers Digest  junk mail by crossing out my address, marking the envelope 'unsolicited' and dropping it back in the mail.(it did have a rts address) Only took two goes and I mustve been dropped from the database, they never wrote again. Perhaps someone else will have more info on where they might be getting your details, but it could be something as simple as the voting register, or something you signed up for without ticking that tiny, dratted box on the end of the form that says "if you do not wish to receive offers from our company or other companies we feel may be of...blah....":D
