    Hi,

I will be in Paris for 4 days over the weekend.....Fri-Mon.

Anyone any great ideas on stuff to do other than the obvious stuff.....

Also will everywhere be closed over Good Friday - Easter Monday?

Ah things should be open.. pubs and tourist things will be anyways. not to sure about shops. www.funkymaps.com they do a good pub crawl saturday nite. Tells you wants on for the weekend as well. Ah a trip out to versailles would be nice. Line C rer! Versailles castle is beautiful. If the weather is nice bring food and have a picnic. huge park surrounding the castle. A boat cruise would be cool as well. ya do a nice romantic cruise at nite. see some of paris and have a nice dinner by moon light... costs about 40 a head thou. boats are just down from the eiffel tower. Heading towards st germain.

I'd recommend Cimetiére du Pére Lachaise - the world's most visited cemetry. See the graves of Jim Morrison, Oscar Wilde, Sarah Bernhardt. Yves Montand, Edith Piaf, Simone Signoret, Chopin, Proust and 1 million others in very ornate tombs, crypts and sculptures.. It's my favourite place in Paris - much more interesting than Eiffel Tower or Arc de Triomphe (IMO).

Metro to Pére Lachaise or Phillippe Auguste or Gambetta.

Everything open on Friday and probably some things shut on Monday but not a huge amount. Sunday will be a typical Sunday with most of the shops closed.

Pére Lachaise is a pretty cool place (I live next door) and Versailles is about 40 minutes away and worth the visit but helps if the weather is good.

The non-dinner cruise boats cost €9 and you get them from Pont Neuf.

If it's your first time in Paris then remember that you'll be walking a LOT and wear the correct footwear though the metro will probably be able to take you anywhere you'd want to go. (€1.10 per trip or €10 for a book of 10 tickets).
