Does anyone know of anywhere that have ante-post betting for the Guinness Gold Cup at Punchestown on April 26th?
I have tried all the usual places and unless I've missed something, I can't find any ante-post on this.

    Thanks.

You won't find ante-post betting for Punchestown, usually, until the week of the festival.

Betfair have a few races up but its early days yet and there's no prices yet on most of them.

Ah yes. I see. That must have only went up today.

I was thinking of backing War of Attrition (ante-post). I wonder can he do an English/Irish gold cup double. With a few of the old greats bowing out at Cheltenham this year, I was wondering if he is a new star,
OR perhaps, while it was a great achievement, has the hype of the Gold cup win blown things out of proportion a bit?

    Any Views?

In my honest opinion, I don't see the value of backing War of Attrition ante post. I'd want to know the ground conditions at Punchestown and what's lining up against him before backing him and in any case he'll be no bigger than 5/2 if he's even that big !!

As for his Gold cup win, you can't really knock his performance. He jumped well seemed to stay out the trip well. It wasn't a vintage renewal, it was a Gold cup missing the likes of Kicking King, Trabolgan and the late Best Mate but he won it well. I'd hold fire on an ante post bet on him but that's just me. :D
