Sorry to be a Nazi but I pmed DocO just after he posted this to put up all the details as per the sticky. He's been online today and hasn't updated this thread so I'll edit it for now. He can re-edit it when he has all the details to hand. If anyone knows him then let him know.

What time do u have to be out of UCD by? design the structure around your end time.

If its charity based best thing to do is "force" everyone to top-up... i.e. buy in 15 of which 5 goes to charity straight off, buy in gets 2000 chips, rebuy for 10 gets 2500 (again, maybe 2 for each rebuy to charity), but then top up for 10 is for 10,000 so everyone pretty much has to rebuy. Maybe just say from the outset that no matter what is in the prize pool 25% to charity, 75% in pot...
if you need equipment etc etc DIT would be happy to help. Think my mates are in this colunteer thingy, but they are off to Haiti or someplace so i can rope a good few friends into playing using well timed guilt etc etc.

(also saw a charity cash game thing, blinds .50/1.00 , with a 5cent ante per player... the ante from every player in every hand went to chairty... not sure how this would work at a college game tho...)

yeh donal it might be good idea to have some sng's/cash games running when people get knocked out if there is demand. Also in my opinion you should have quickish levels for the rebuy period and then extend the lenght of the levels after the freezout when the "real" poker starts.

Although DoCo is not a regular poster i can vouch for him. Hes a dealer in the emporium and im sure he will look after players with regards structure etc and will freeze the blinds if necessary. He hates crapshoots as much as everyone. Also im sure he will make it clear to everyone what % is going to charity.

Gl with it and hopefully see ya there,
    Will

Rory i hope you didnt hurt urself when you fell off the chair!

We've to be out of the Bar by 9pm, and unfortuanetly it is to be limited to 50 players (if we get that many!?!?) the ideal spot i was looking for was booked out, and so with such short notice max we can cope for is 50 players.

Yeh Jeff its the same organisation, just a differnet venue, id appreciate it if you could get on to all of them, all all others who intend on coming or cant make it, please do spread the word. At the end of the day it is a fundraiser, but i want to try and give as much value for money aswell.

Any other suggestions are greatly appreciated, as it is a very worthy charity.

    Thanks,
    Donal

(lafort - had problems loggin in, hence not changing it straight away, if u could place my OP up again would appreciate it, as it explains bout the charity itself, and then erase this when you do so, ty)
