Which files to transfer

    I need to take files off my comp as im reformating it,however I have a subscribtion to mcafee and I need to know if If i take the files off will I still recieve updates when I put it back...if so,which files do I take..I am not backing the hd up as its corrupt as sin I am just taking most of the program files + drivers...

    Can this be done...cheers

    From McAfee's site.

    In short you dont take anything you log back on to their web site service and it downloads a file which registers the program.

    Take files off comp - This is the wrong way of going about it.

    All the drivers should be available from the PC manufacture. You should have a OS disk as well. You should reload all the programs for them to work correctly.

    To try to copy files for a complex program is very difficult to to correctly.
