It is probablly illegal and I am sorry to mention it. But my neighbour was tapping into my secured broadband connection and was using it without my permission. This forced me to get rid of my broadband. Eventually he got his own in and I would like to get a bit of revenge on him. How would I go about tapping in to his secured network?

Your going to find it hard to do if he has a WEP number on his network (which nearly all networks do). How do you know he has a network?? He could just have a broadband router plugged straight into his computer with no network

To find out if he using it, go to Start > Control Panel > Network Connections > Wireless Network Connection (or something along those lines) > View Wireless Network... now you should see all wireless networks in range of your wireless card. Of course you cannot join because he will have a WEP number (like a very long password) installed

WEP is easily cracked. Takes about 10mins to do with the right tools. WPA is much stronger.

Anyway highly illegal to hack someone's network. So you won't get any info here. In fact, this thread is bound to be locked....

I didn't know that WEPs were easily cracked (shows how much hacking skills I have) :)

But the man next door might have set a custom one, then would it be harder to crack??

    *BAM*

The smart thing to do would be to secure your own network from your neighbour. How can you even be sure that it was him/her and that it is him/her you'd be getting revenge on? Anyway, thread locked.
