Just want to ask your opinion on 2 of the hands I played recently in the last 2 days, one in a cash game and one in a live game.

    pp blinds 2/4

villian in question has about 900 I have him covered.

I look down at AQc Im on the button, raise in mp by a player I find is overly aggressive, he doesn't lay down if he has top pair with rag kicker etc, he makes it 16 to go. I flat call here which is probs a mistake.

Flop comes down [6c] [Qd] [8c]

He checks and I bet the pot, he raises and makes it 150 to play.

2nd hand was in a live 50 freezout in a hotel last night, Im down to the last 14 and im easily the best player at the table, A player has just come to my table and he has me slightly covered, I know him quite frankly as a calling station, he got his stack all in preflop with A2o v Akc.

    villian 180k
    me 155k

    blinds 1.5/3k

On the button I look down at A4h villian makes it 9k to play, I call flop comes down A K 2 rag

I put in a value bet just to see if he's holding a higher ace, I pet the pot 20k, he just flat calls me, at this point im thinking he has a king, turn is Ad, he leads betting 40k.

Just wondering what you lot would do in the above.

Hand 1 call, and keep calling to the felt, no need to raise.

Hand 2 - fold preflop. fold now. Did he check/call the flop? The action seems a little mixed up.

do you not think pushing the first hand is the better option, I've called his raise preflop + the 2 clubs on the flop, I could be representing a big pair or at least the draw.

On the 2nd. he just flat called my bet after the flop and led when the 2nd ace came up.

He pushed on the turn for 40k.
