I've stopped playing it because the payout structure is ridiculous. I finished 31st in the last one and got nothing after 4 and a half hours play and 900+ runners. Though 2k for 18th in the previous one was pretty sweet.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,600 ✭✭✭roryc

Yeh the structure is very top heavy, but I won the ticket in and don't plan on re-buying...see what happens

    849 players... lets roll...

    Gone in 288th.

Whole game was fcuked up by all the disconnects. It disconnected TWICE as I was calling an all in with the nuts. Neither counted.

Then when I was on 4K, it disconnected. I returned to find myself on 1K. One bad beat next hand and I'm out.... :(:(:(:(:(

    REFUND PLEASE

still there super short stacked with the 2 chip leaders sitting right behind so no hope of bluffing

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,212 ✭✭✭MrPillowTalk

still there currently 8/38 bubble is 28th which as Ian said is ridiculous considering 900 starters.

no foldem holdem at the mo

IMO, the button was moving on to you and Queens are not the best hand at the best of times anyway. There was a guy on another table with 18k left...he was on his last legs. Would 1k have been handy for ya...I'd imagine it would. You're going to go over and over this for the night mate but you know you're a good player, you'll be back tomorrow.

I just dont know its not the 1k more that Im playing really good poker in tourneys at the mo and I keep going really deep and exiting just before the cash in car crash hands like that one.

The wasted time is the killer, sunday nite is usually good for the cash games and as soon as I was going well in this I closed all them up to concentrate, blah Im going to win a fekin mtt one day

you push 100% of the time you know this you just got unlucky.

I know it's not the money but you have to take into account how others play on the bubble too. Some will really want that money and will play as tight as a nun's arse until they get into the money. If you get called it's gonna be with the nuts. Probably best to ride the storm until the game starts back again. That's just my opinion though.

I know what your saying ftb but the blinds to my stack ratio was too big to pass there, like you say he has to find kk aa to call so any other hand and my stack is 92k picking up the blinds, if I pass I have 74k which is sooooo short.

lol. Is is BR thing are you playing multis that are too big?? I thought you were swimming in cashish? If its the right thing to do when its a $100 bubble its still the right thing to do. The problem is if you get called its either a 20/80 or a 70/30 but with the dead money out there you have to push and you know it.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 837 ✭✭✭kpnuts

can't fold the QQ there, m8.

just a horrible situation where the money's going in regardless.

    sick.

    u win one soon.

Honestly, you're right in what you're saying, the noose was tightening, it was a ballsy move and you lucked out. Wipe yourself down and move on. Bubble play is a bitch, simple as, should you put bubbles to the back of your mind and play as you normally do or tighten up...that's the question. I think that varies from player to player though. I guess the more experienced you get and the more money you earn, the less you start to care about bubbles.

No its not a br thing I am relatively comfortable in that respect but I just hate putting time in for nothing, the 27k first place would have been nice though.

with the poker gods blessing hopefully this is the end of my bad luck in mtts and I can book a result at the open.

    oh please oh poker dieties!!!!

What do you guys mean by bubbles excuse me for been naive.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 6,937 ✭✭✭fade2black

The bubble is the final point at which you can exit the tournament without being paid. I'm sure Eoin won't mind me telling you that he went out in 28th place tonight. This tournament paid 27 places.
