I personally don't have much time for cats - my wife loves them so we have one. Much as I've no great love for them I wouldn't do this to it. The cat just doesn't look impressed with the whole thing. And as for the docked tail - plain cruel - cats need their tails for turning while jumping similar to kangaroos. Not fair on the cat IMO.

OP - if I did that to my cat(which i wouldn't) he'd just pull off the tape - he wouldn't walk around all scared like that!

but would somebody try this and see if it does it actually work?
No way am I trying that on my cat.
I'd image it would get some odd results as the sticky tape is going to affect the free movement of the hair on the skin, and probably cause discomfort and pain.
Perhaps get some industrial tape and lash it around your groin to see a similar effect...

I thought at first he was gona rip the tape off and basically wax the cat.....when I was younger i used to wrap hair bobbins around my cats tail....i used to be fascinated watchin the cat spin/roll around tryin to remove the bobbin....

I can't see why anyone would actually want to do that in the first place, even if the cat does react similarly it's not exactly interesting/entertaining.

Oh and before anyone starts calling the ISPCA, I love my cat and treat her like a queen....

I don't own a cat and this isn't cruel as it harms the cat in no way but would somebody try this and see if it does it actually work?

Apparently its been docked (according to K-Tric) Its prob like having certain breeds of dogs tails cut short and stuff... But I'm guessing.

Yes indeed it does. Though I don't condone the giving of narcotics to animals, unlike the use of tape which I do condone, under laboratory conditions of course (and generally for the buzz)

You have no evidence to support that the tail has been docked ye egit. Ever heard of the breed of Manx cat which are from the Isle of Man?. There are several categories of them; rumpies which are completely tailess, risers which have a rise of the spine which may be felt, stumpies which are cats with a very partial tail, stubbies cats with a partial tail, and fully tailed cats.

Also, the cat may have lost its tail in an accident, cats are very adaptable and can learn to cope with the loss of the tail or part of. They do not use it in the same way as a kangaroo, which uses its tail as a third leg for support when standing up on its hinds. Its irratating when people immediatley cry out cruelty as a knee jerk reaction.
