    Hi ive just pre-booked a month in Alicante for myself b/f and 2 small children and now im hearing all sorts of STUFF
    some good great craic weather people etc
    others bad idea full of gangsters and dangerous eastern europeans etc
    head is melted now
    anyone been !! im supposed to be going to playa flamenca for the month of july ! dont know if im lookin forward to it now or not !!

    Hey Lola,

    We have a house there - nice part of the world but you always do have to be careful. My parents have been there loads and have only had one experience. They were driving through a remote part of town on a Sunday afternoon(think it was a kind of industrial estate - dont ask!) anyway before my dad could notice these 2 guys approached the car when they were at the traffic lights and started to slash the tires - my parents drove off and didnt stop until they were in a place with lots of people.

    Like I said the above is only an isolated incident and Im only mentioning it so you look out for it. I would say again that its a nice part of the world but you have to watch out/be sensible everywhere these days.
