Hey I was just wondering if you lot could give me a hand?

I'm going to Oxegen this year and hopefully Electric Picnic, but I want to branch out a bit into more localised festivals. I've only heard of one so far, I think it's called "Leechrom", but I can't seem to find any info on it on the net, so maybe I have it spelt wrong.

    Thanks in advance!

    Ronan

There's Castlepalooza in Tullamore Co. Offaly. Charleville Castle there is a great spot. Not sure of this years lineup, but I think Hotpress had a story on it there in the last 2 weeks.

Seconding Castlepalooza. It has a good collection of small Irish indie bands though I dont know what they were thinking with Sister Sledge as a headliner. While it seems quite expensive for the calibre of the lineup the atmosphere and setup is excellent and its a great couple of days.

Leechrum is now know as SAI fest (Sliabh an Iarrian festival) in Drumshambo, Co. Leitrim. Its taking place on the 3rd,4th & 5th of august, website is www.saifestival.com. It also has a myspace page www.myspace.com/saifestivalireland. I was there 2 years ago when it was Leechrum, was brilliant.
Another local festival is one in Roscommon called Mantua, website is
http://www.mantuaproject.com/ it's happening 13th & 14th July, i've never been, but have heard lotsa good things about it.
