From the first set 1 and 4 are good but 2 is distracting with someones finger in it and 3 the motorcycle guard thing is distracing also. Keep it up :) Is that Sonia O'Sullivan? Thats a nice shot, I like it.

Thanks for the comments RUU. It is Sonia O'Sullivan alright. I don't know the other runners but I'm told a lot of them are well known too.

Unfortunately I couldn't stop people jumping in my way or the guys on the bike stopping right in my field of view. I decided not to crop them out because I felt I would lose more that way.

    This is the motorcycle

What camera did you use for these photos?

Looks like a big enough event, never heard about it till now tho, were there many people at it?

There were about 7,000 runners and I used my usual snapshot camera. I am one of those who doesn't blame his tools for his faults.

Anyone have photos from the zoo meet?

Would have gone if my new camera had turned up in time. :(

    Nice shots!

Number 3 in the guys race is Mark Carroll, he's quite well known. And number 5 is familiar, James something i think.

Oh yeah I not blaming you for it :) I know it must be rather frustrating when it turns out!

*offtopic* there's a thread for that meet! :) It was only 3 of us there, Fajitas, Eireroaduser and me. We all took pictures but Fajitas was shooting analog don't know when his pictures will be up. Mine will be up somewhere this week as I have a lot of pictures from yesterday to go through first. Sorry you couldn't make it, it was fun!

*ontopic* Number 1 and 4 are pretty good.

I heard on the news that #1 in photo 1 won the men's race. A lucky coincidence I think.
I don't know if there were many boards members in the race but I will put up some more snapshots of "non-elite runners" when I can process them.

I bought this in a camera shop at the St Stephen's Green end of Dawson Street.

I bought this in Lidl but the Elvis strap came from Graceland.

Couple of good pics of Jolene Byrne (No. 53). She is hot!

I'd like to see a few more shots of her to compare before I firmly decide that she looks like an emaciated octogenarian... Cos she does in the shot above. (Unless that's what you're into)
