As most of ya all know my now I live in Thailand
and am training in a thai camp which had 7 champs.

It s difficult to get the details of who fought whom what
date, and what title was won.

The lads are very humble, and say little,
often they have been relaxing around the camp
and later that night I go to see boxing and the same
lad is fighting, and not a word about it!!!

    ANYWAY

it emerged last night , amid a massive beer and whiskey session
that 2 of the retired lads, were World Champioms (this same age as me about 34) , and both fought Ramon Dekker in the 90s.

Nampon fought dekker 2 times ones in lumpinee where he beat him
and once in holland where he lost

and Numbucan (spelling??) fought him once too.

I guess I am very lucky to be training in a camp where these boys lived and trained!!!!!

the lads were from dirty poor families, became world champs, and now own restaurnats and bars, and did very well for themselves.

and not a word about it...no ego no nothing!!!

strange thing is that they have their kids in TKD McDojos.....

Nampon owns a restaurant down in Korat.

He came up for a party on saturday night, smoking fags and all.

    He's a sound sound bloke.

No, he does not train nor teach in the camp no more, but comes around for the odd party!

Namkabaun is retired too, and a party man! he trains some kids on occassion.

Yes, Paddy get on over here, and get into the pads!

    this training is great!

I actually watched his fights with dekker last night, and they are excellent

I also watched Rcb Kaman whom i despised fighting chanupeuk, it was a super fight as well cos kaman was 10kgs heavier and doing loads of show boating to the dutch crowd, and then he got his ass handed to him on a plate :p that fairly shut him up :p

Gerry I would love to go over there specially that camp cos they into kneeing a lot, but unfortunately i got sucked into the rat race... you know how it is....... although gerry... I dont imagine you do any more :D

    paddy
