Monitor Bandwidth Usage

I was wondering is there a program I can use to monitor bandwidth on a user by user basis. Baiscally to display their current upload and download and how much bandwidth they used in a certain timeframe (a month). Im running Debian Linux kernel 2.6. Thanks for everyones time!
