Looks like they're playing during my finals. Bugger.

Ah, that sucks. Luckily it falls between my last two exams. I dunno how big a fan you are but if you're really eager to go, the fact that it's an early show might allow you attend?

I'm looking into it. It's on a Friday so it's not too bad, depending on how study goes the next couple of weeks I'll decide.

    Anyone headin' into this tonight?

I'm well in the mood for a good gig.

Hell yes. :D Can't f*ckin' wait. I imagine they'll be playing Seadrum/House of Sun or Vision Creation Newsun type material?

Edit: Mmmm, from reading reviews of recent-ish shows, this is probably gonna be just 3 drummers and Eye doing this thing.

I'll be going because everyone I know wouldnt shut up about how mind blowingly amazing this gig was going to be. I really dislike the recorded stuff Ive heard though (super æ and soul discharge '99). Are they significantly different live?

If you like Super ae, you'll probably enjoy the gig.

With this being touted as an early show, what time do you reckon they'll be on stage at? Half eight?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 456 ✭✭Scratch Acid

According to u:mack's thread on thumped.com; half eight, yeah. I intend to be there around eight anyway, just in case.

I thought that was a pretty good gig, nothing amazing though. No doubt their setup was impressive but I've seen a couple of percussion groups before and there was nothing really new here... except the little woman using a pedalboard with her foot while drumming. That was cool.

Those theramin-like lightbulbs were deadly too.

Pretty damn good. Highlights: Yoshimi's and Eye's vocals, encore(s), general boner-inducing drumliciousness. Fun, fun, fun.
