I stayed a few hotels down from it I think, from the locatiob I gives on the web site...I'd say its lovely...BUT post hurricane, I honestly couldn't tell you, I was there in Cancun last august just before hand and pretty much every hotel in the hotel area(where this apparently is) is lovely, there all similar and all piss all time away from the centre with the clubs and restuarants(very cheap taxis, like 3 dollars). All the hotels are the same really there, its so competitive...tho I heard budget are doing cancun now so I can see it slowly turning into a crappy family resort...shame really

Would you reccommend Cancun for a lads away holiday? It looks very family and couples orientated.

most definitly, i went with another guy and it was brilliant... i'm going back...gonna go spring break next year. spring break is possibly the most mental time to go there, i cant tell you how good it is, a movie called the real cancun gives ya an idea. very few families when i was there.

my biggest advice book early and insist you get a hotel as close to 9 and 10 km in the boulevard kukuclan(nearly every single bar/club and restaurant worth its salt is located here) we were at 11k( the addresses there use your position in relation to the start of the road to loacte you) and it was a short walk home each night. when do you plan to go

We're possibly going first 2 weeks in September, is this still a lively time? Also - are you familiar with Dreams hotel in Cancun? Thanks.

thats when we went, its just the end of the season but its good crack. everywhere is still lively, but not crazy packed. most hotels have their own private beaches so they're always nice and clean and emptyish, while theres the normal beaches too. i dont know the hotel but i'm guessing its at eith corner of the pennisula. if its the end near the clubs its a great location, if its the other...i its a bit of a trek. sunway travel of grafton street was who i went for in the end, they were good help, i got a lot of dodge advice and recommendations of other places, check everything they tell you yourself
