CO=Loose weak player Big stack 20k
Button=Loose aggressive good player Bigger stack 30k
BB=Tight weak player avg Stack 9k
    SB=The Snapper 88 avg stack 9.5k

    Blinds 300/600
    CO; min raises to 1200
    Button; calls quickly
SB; I think about reraise here but just flat call
    BB; Flat calls

    Flop (4800) 3c5c6h

SB; Check ( suspicious of pp on button )
    All check behind

    Turn (4800) 3s

    SB; I bet 4000 (4000 Behind)
    BB; Folds
    CO; Raises to 8000
    Button; Folds

I put him on a draw type hand maybe Ac6c and call. Suprise suprise he flips the monster 10-3o.

River is a 10 for the full house and I'm gone.

Can I get away from this. Should I have reraised preflop ? Should I have bet the flop ?

    Your thoughts please.

Push or fold preflop for me Brendan, considering your analysis of players and your own table image, it would have been a push.

EDIT: Saw it - posting my thoughts now.....

I actually don't mind the flat call on the BB, you're getting 7:1.

There after it's quite tricky, this is pretty much the ideal flop for you, however if you lead out you are basically pot committed, I would prefer the check raise All-In as I assume you were planning, unfortunately you didn't get a bet to re-raise.

Then the turn falls and it certainly looks like a brick. So you led out, now here comes the problem for me, how much to bet?? The pot is ~5k and you only have about 8k left, if you bet anything, you're either pot committed or leave yourself open to a re-raise. Neither is very attractive. So basically it's probably All-In or check, You don't have too much info about the hands out there. So, it's risky to push.

So I think I check hoping to either check it down or try a check raise All-In if CO bets and it's folded around to you.

As it played out I don't think you can fold to this re-raise.

you played the hand very bad.
88 is not a hand that you wanna play post flop with against even one person never mind more than one.
your basically screwd as soon as there is an over card on the flop.you may still have the best hand but the problem is you dont know.
when you flat call a raise like that your basically hoping to hit a set on the flop and that just does not happen enough to make the play worth while.
CO is loose and raises ,his range is very wide .
button is loose and flat calls ,if he had a good hand and one that is better than yours he would have reraised more than likely.
had you pushed pre flop you would have took down a decent sized pot and you would also tell them to back up and leave your blinds alone.

I think you played the hand fine. Probably I would push preflop unless I thought CO's minraise meant a big hand.

the only one likely to have a hand is the cut off, and with his loose weak image, and the fact there is 4200 in the pot b4 u act (3 x 1200 + 600), id push this expecting to take it down there and then. (or flat call, but then either hit a set or try and check it down)

sometimes i push, sometimes i call pre flop, depending on my reads and feel, and the tourney structure. (i dont fold, not for 600 chips into that pot (4,200), as a set could be huge for u here if someone else gets a piece)

I either push pre-flop or on the flop.

Not the worst flop for 88 but you can't give 3 players the chance to outdraw you here so it is an auto push IMO. I'd be surprised if the button had a higher PP. If it was heads up I might consider extracting more money but with 3 other muppets in the hand you can't risk it.

Thanks guys. As Steo suggested I was planning to reraise all in on the flop and was amazed CO & Button both checked. Button had bet every single flop he'd seen recently.

You didn't play the hand too badly at all. You were unlucky that a safe looking card made some else's trips.

I like c/r the flop much better than just pushing, you won't scare off a worse hand either way, and someone may well bet it if you check.
