    Well anywhere in Europe would be very cheap around this time. The only pity is there is no snow! But the resorts are still there! (Season is officially finished week after easter in austria but I was out last weekend and it resembled water skiing more than skiing - and it was very dangerous)

    South america or New Zealand in summer is probably the next chance at good skiing. Glacier skiing would also be possible in Europe but they're not really resorts and the snow conditions aren't usually that good.

    Actually the best ski-ing in Europe that I am aware of at the moment is in scotland.
    Cairngorm has 4ft deep of groomed snow which is considerably better than a lot of the alpine resorts at the moment.

    Conditions are excellent with fresh powder snow on a well groomed base. Traverse and 105 are excellent with groomed powder snow. Good run on the lower slopes down Burnside. M1 has good skiing, soft in places but narrow at the bottom. White Lady has some moguls and is hard in places with drifting at the top. Ciste Gully has 6" of fresh snow, unpisted!

    Wind Speed 20mph
    Wind Direction NW
    Weather Conditions Forecast for Saturday: Scattered wintry showers will become heavier. Cloud base may lower down to 600m within the showers. Wind Northwest 20-40mph, possibly some gusts around 60mph. Temperature at 900m between -2C and -5C.
    Temperature -4C

    Thats this mornings report from Cairngorm where I'm told they've had a good month of march for snow and indeed an extra 6 inches overnight.

    package details here

    These pictures were taken yesterday by the way
