    Anyone heard of this?

    Process is listed in taskmgr and won't end, it takes up about 10MB RAM and tries to connect to the net on startup.

    Ive noticed errors and very low frames during some games, wondering if they might be related - Norton hasn't found anything (yeah, norton, i know)- trying defender atm.

    quick google only reveals a site where people in the same position as you report files that they can't get info on.

    Very odd. What dir is it located in do you know?

    MSASCui.exe is part of Microsoft Windows Defender, which is a spyware removal program originated from Windows AntiSpyware. MSASCui.exe is run in background silently. Leave it alone to ensure your system being fully protected by Windows Defender.

    aye dont close it unless you want to disable Windows Defender, its not a threat to your system.

    Cool, only just installed defender so hadnt seen it before. Might do a reformat and solve all these little niggly issues like crashing games etc
