When trying to access certain ssl secure parts of allofmp3.com I now get the attached message.

I'm not really sure what to make of it - I've used the site numerous times before with no problems and the ip address i entered was correct.

How wary should I be here? (I'm wary enough since they no longer have paypal) Is this a genuine warning or is there something wrong with firefox?

edit. IE gives a similiar warning (attached below as well)

Why are you using the IP?

Generally, SSL certificates are supposed to be on the server you are connecting to. If the certificate is on a different server (or subdomain of the address, which could well be a different server) the browser is warning you that it is possible that someone could be sitting between you and the server and reading your information (which is called a "man in the middle" attack).

By issuing a warning the browser is making sure that you know what you are doing. If you have doubts, you should not continue, but as with everything its a judgement call.

Err, that was me just trying to sound like a smart arse when in fact I just made myself look silly. I meant the http address is correct. :o

Well, I think I'll leave it off. Since that site no longer use paypal I've become wary. Now with these kinds of warnings i'll leave it off. Thanks aidan.
