this is my first post in this forum. i have always been interested in martial arts but was too lazy to do anything about it till this year (i'm 21). i finally got off my lazy ass just over a month ago and started a thai boxing course in finland (i'm here on an erasmus exchange). i'm still suprised i am actually doing it here as i didn't motivate myself enough in ireland but somehow i decided to try it here and through a language i don't understand yet! anyhow, i love training this sport and would like to continue when i return to ireland. any recommendations on what to do or what is available is greatly appreciatated. i will be living in dublin because of college so i doubt location will be a problem. the only place i have heard of is bridgestone but i know very little about the place.

and to give an idea of the training here... we train three times a week, 90 minutes duration each time. we train at the same time as the advanced class so it helps keep the standard up. clinching and knees are commonly trained but not so much emphasis on elbows, well not yet anyway. i can write in more detail if anybody is interested.

Thanks for all the quick info. I will be back in Ireland sometime in summer and back in DCU in september. Ideally I would find a club easily accesible from that part of Dublin but what I finally do will be based on how much free time I have (as I will be in final year)

I'm in Oulu Polytechnic in Finland. But the thai boxing course I do is not in the college. I train at Oulun Kamppailuklubi... http://www.kamppailuklubi.com/
