on-line omaha question

 Have been playing hold 'em live and on-line for quite a while, but decided to give Omaha a go on-line. I got 2 abusive player votes after a hand I played (and won).

Is there an obvious mistake a HE player could make when changing to Omaha that could warrant this?

Not sure what my hand was, it was bad though, so I checked but everyone else folded leaving me with the pot (left the table after that due to risk of causing the same infringement again).

There is no real way to anser that question properly. They are very different games. Main differences I would say are:

Must use 2 cards from your 4 but I presume you know that.
It takes bigger hands to win pots mostly, as with 4 cards you have 6 different 2-card combinations.

My guess is that you stayed in the hand on a non-nut gutshot and hit? Other than that, I suggest you read up on it or use play money to find out a bit more about hand strenghts, playing draws etc.

Just on that where would you find rules on Hi-lo omaha? Is it on ppp? I have to admit I tried one of the competitions and did quite well but couldn't understand why I won sometimes! So before I go back where would i get a copy of the rules of Omaha hi-lo.

The main difference I found was that your give 4 pocket cards and must use 2 of these along with 3 board cards to fill your hand. Oh, you'll usually need a much more decent hand than you do in Hold Em.

I'm still confused about why I was given two abusive votes in my maiden game, guess I'll have to start playing again and ask why i get them next time! Well either that or just go back to hold 'em!

On Pokerroom play money tables you can give a player an abusive vote if they are annoying you. If they get a certain amount (3 or 4) they get kicked off the table. Dont think it follows through to the real money tables though

In a live game, can't see them throwing out a player who'se
    paying them rake
