Hi guys! Sorry I'm new to boards don't know if i should have made another thread seein as theres already another one covering this subject. Sorry if i annoy anybody. Just want to clear some things up... yes there is a jiu jitsu club in coolmine. No its not "classical" jiu jitsu. Yes its based on judo. Yes we do submission grappling.

The club is mainly for self defence for the average joe (the social martial artist) but for the competitive players my Father trains some people to compete in judo competions and we have several irish judo champions training at our club.

Our competitive players train both in judo and jiu jitsu and while the jiu jitsu club might not suit the competitive bjj player the judo club in coolmine has a great rumbling session every saturday which involves half an hour of ne-waza randori (groundwork sparring) followed by tachi-waza randori (stand up throwing sparring). We usually get visitors of all kinds and every once in a while we have all the irish male judo champions training on a saturday. The doors are always open in the judo club for anyone interested in a good grappling session, it would great to see some of you guys there.
