    Christ :eek: what the heck would anyone do with that kind of a computer? Are these people just building monster machines to fuel their own egos?

    I'm guessing that if this thing has any practical use, it could be used for research, cancer, SETI or whatever.

    Otherwise some kind of communications master, such as a regional routing station, or at one end of a transatlantic trunk line.

    best irish one is at 205 in the Irish Centre For High End Computing, and afaik its in galway. Its crap tho, only 968 opterons:D
