foundation for pale skin

    Can anyone recommend a decent foundation for pale skin? i'm talking 'ivory' pale. most of the brands i've seen in the shop still have a very yellow/warm tone to them. i think i've been told to look for something with a blue tone?

    clinique have a great one thats extra pale, i cant remember the shade but if you go to one of the girls on the counter, they will try them all on you.

    get them to show you which one suits you.
    i have to put talc on over my (non-mac) foundation to get the colour paler so i know your problem. i'm mac's nc20 or nw15, the latter being paler, depending on time of year.

    cool, thanks for that. I have that white goth make up that i blend on my hand with another liquid one to create the right shade but im getting fed up with it. i suppose that what i get for not standing up to the girl on the make up counter at the time, i think they have this thing for 'darker is better'

    The palest colours in MAC are NC15 and NW15 (Haven't heard of anything lower than that). NC if you have yellow toned skin or NW if you have more pinky toned skin. Girls on the counter should be able to help ya out. And if you dont like it dont buy it or ask to try a different shade to compare. That's what they are there for!!!! Don't worry you can't see any major pink or yellow pigment in them. Trust me, they ARE pale.. I wear NC15. A blue tone would make you look dead!!!

    001 in Lancome is the ONLY pale foundation.Its not yellowy and really is the only decent pale foundation out there

    i found a really good foundation yesterday so i thought i'd share.
    its by a new company called 'vivo'. their palest shade is called 'fares fair' and its amazing, not a hint of orange from it at all.
    the best part of it all is that it was only 6.99.
    i wouldnt expect them to be stocking in boots any time soon but keep an eye out for it in local chemist.
    honestly the best foundation ive used in years
