I reckon that Alan is going to take this match. He is fresh from a submission win in his first full rules MMA match and he looked confident and relaxed in all of it. The Cannon Hannon has a shot faster than a speeding bullet and I don't think Niall will be able to keep it standing, assuming that is his gameplan of course! On the ground then Alan is fast moving and very intuitive on what his next move should be. The addition of head shots will be new to him of course, but training with the Mad Dog in Limerick should accustom him to those.
My prediction is Alan by early second round submission.

Oh yea can't wait for this but I've got to go for the Cannon as Mark has said his just after coming of a win in his last mma fight and will be a little more confidant going into this one.

This should be a good match. It will be tough no doubt but Alan is training really hard and is in very good form at the moment. At the UFR show on Sunday he showed solid takedowns and ground but make no mistake about it he is well able to stand and strike as well.

I'm going to go for Alan Seery on this one - for three reasons.

    1. He has more experience. He's fought in Rings and Ring of Truth before - the Ringside club is familiar ground to him, and he has a large group of supporters. He's been there, done that, bought the t-shirt, learned the lessons and is ready to take his opponent to school!

    2. He's hungry. Alan Hannon is coming off a win, which, ironically I think will work against him. He'll be brimming with confidence and possibly a little too relaxed; Alan Seery will have the "Eye of the Tiger" and has something to prove.

    3. He can send your head into orbit! I've been on the receiving end, and to be honest the first punch Alan hit me with rocked me - an inch further down my jaw and it would have been lights out. He has the power to finish, and also the toughness create an opening for it.

Best of luck to both guys!
