    There's a showing of the Rocky Horror in the UGC next wednesday at 7:00 or 7:30. It's being put on by TY students for charity, so Unlimited cards are out, and tickets can't be bought at UGC. It'll cost a tenner and you can get tickets from Clodagh Luddy, whose school is responsible. It's an excuse for an old skool reunion, with a charitable cause, so go if you can. Those who miss the regular Classic showings will have a chance to reminisce. You'll have to get in contact with her pretty quickly to get hold of tickets, and anyone who asks her to get a ticket *must* pay her back, regardless of whether they go, on pain of savage beatings.

    Good news; I know that there are loads of tickets left over, they made a pretty pitiful attempt at selling them. So if you turn up on the night they will be selling them somewhere inside cineworld, hopefully it will be obvious;)

    Full details: (which I probably should have posted earlier, sorry)
    Organised by 4th years looking to raise money for a school and hospital in Uganda;
    Tickets cost €10 (unlimited cards dont work);
    Showing on the 11th and 12th April (next tuesday and wednesday) - everybody I just bought tickets for are going on the wednesday;
    Starts at 7:30 on both nights;
    Venue Cineworld (the UGC, on parnell street)

    also on the ticket is a note on audience participation of course:
    - Feel free to dress up in the traditional fashion
    - Shout out lines during the dialogue scenes
    - Sing along and dance to your favourite tunes.

    so hopefully see you there!:D

    Hi all,

    This is Julia (co-organiser of the screenings of Rocky in Cineworld).

    Sorry to tell you, we're all sold out for tonight!

    So unfortunately there will be no tickets available at the door.

    Hope this isn't a big disappointment!

    Thanks

    If a Rocky Horror reunion was organised in a small, southern town with a good cinema and train station, would people be interested in going?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,440 ✭✭✭✭Piste

    Depends on the southern town...

    Think of marshmallows after a large marsh-clearing scheme. We got a snazzy new cinema with snazzy new prices and the possibility of a snazzy new old-fashioned reunion/Rocky Horror dress-up

    Omg TRAINS go there! But now I need somewhere to crash...

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 448 ✭✭Jack Lynch

    The trains crash too. But if it ever happens (little disclaimer there), there will be a crash zone
