That guitar does nothing for me (the Singlecut, not just that one specifically). I just don't like that shape at all.

Well....their standard model is just a Strat shape, why not do an LP as well?

No it isn't. Here's an example:

    PRS%20CU24%20GBK.50.jpg

It has a much fuller, rounder body than a Strat.

    now that i like ;)

Karl Hungus you are a bad, bad man... As regards the singlecut, it never did anything for me. It looks tacky in comparison to the classic chunk of a Les Paul.

yeah PRS are all about the double cuts never liked their single cuts..the finish is not bad for a sunburst tho

Indeed. I played a Singlecut and a Custom 24 back-to-back one day, and the Custom 24 really astounded me. Not to say that the Singlecut wasn't great too, it just wasn't as good, and I'd agree, PRS are all about the double cuts, and I'd say the Custom 24 is where my heart lies when it comes to said guitar brand.

Ah, but what do you persons think of a Parker Singlecut! Behold:

Yeah, Custom 24's where it's at alright. Damn you Karl! The finish on that last PRS picture is giving me uberGAS now... What about my Jackson plans Karl?! What about them?!

the body looks like a whale with its mouth open

PRS singlecut are class, I'd love one

I do like the PRS single cuts. Its a nice simple classic shape and it looks great in the right colour. I even prefer them to many Gibbos because they have a nicer headstock shape and don't have the bizarre overdecoration of some LPs.
The Parker .... it might grow on me.

    PRS > Jackson.

Although if you were going to get a custom shop 7 String, you could very well be looking at around $12,000 or so. I don't know if that was the genuine cost, but I do remember that a PRS 7-String that was made for Wes Borland went for that extraordinate figure.

No, PRS > Jackson *in price* ;) I'd be terrified to even think about enquiring as to the price of a custom PRS... I imagine Jackson are far more reasonable on the matter.

I love PRS but i cant get over the whole knobs laying flat with body. I love the little recess

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,968 ✭✭✭jcoote

nope don't like the pm-10 either...alpine white les paul or tokai ls are the only single cts that really interest me...

Ah, but have you ever actually seen a PRS 7 String? It's the stuff of dreams, man!

This is the only one I can find at the moment:

    ps107.jpg

The top is stunning altogether, though I'd probably go for some shade of Green. It's really something.

KH, that 7 is gank! I will never buy a PRS while they have those ****ing stupid heels!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,691 ✭✭✭david

Trans dark blue is the best PRS finish IMO. That tony the tiger finish is nasty.

No doubt, but given the choice I'd take the PRS hands down.

Who wouldn't! I don't like pink gay abalone schecters

  • Moderators, Music Moderators Posts: 23,363 Mod ✭✭✭✭feylya

    Where's the pink?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,968 ✭✭✭jcoote

tbph i think 7 strings are less attactive than 6 stings as far as neck/body dimension ratios and all that jazz but given a different finish i'd take the PRS in this case

You know, I really like 7 Strings moreso for exactly that reason.

I quite like the tiger finish on that 7-string.

    now THIS is attractive.
(this pic gets more mileage than 'those girls' on St. Catherine Street in Toronto) :)

Yeah, but for $11,000 I'd rather a nice quilt top.
