SL 65 Looping two STBs together

I have 3 LNBs ( 13 19 &28E ) connected to a Diseqc connected to SL65 … the SL65 IF OUT is connected (looped) to a Comag SL35 (slave). When either machine is in standby , the other works fine . However when both are on , the slave causes the loss of some transponders and sometimes all 13E transponders are lost on the SL65 . In addition the SL35 looses ITV but the BBCs are fine , when BBC is on the SL65 .
I have tried connecting the SL35 first , but in this configuration the SL65 only picks up signal from the Satellite (all channels) being viewed on the SL35 .
Is the loop through connector only for use with one LNB? Am I expecting too much from a €40- SL35 ?

A receiver tells a LNB to change according to the paramaters of the frequecy of the channel being viewed. LNB can be Horizontal LOW, Horizontal HIGH, Vertical LOW, and Vertical HIGH. The LNB can only be on one setting at a time, so using a Loopthru does knock out many channels on a slave receiver..

Using through only really works if one or other receive is in standby. I find the 2nd RX interferes with first (i.e. no slave, either box can have "channels knocked out" .

A Sky box can't be used at all, as its standby is "fake", only muting AV and disable RF out.

The main use of IF out (loop) is for an Analogue receiver. Again, one of the pair must be in standby.

It's fairly useless feature for Digital receivers unless the two boxes are in different rooms. But again ONE box must always be in standby.

A Twin or Quad LNB is more useful.
