    ok my dad has just bought a house in spain and claims he has seen a media station with a hd in it and was for the whole house so there would be a speker in each room.anyone hear of this???

    I cant name anything specific of the top of my head but I have heard of these devices. The media station is probably wired up to all the speakers in the house so I mean if you were planning to do the same obviously the wiring would need to be taken care of.

    [In principle the device below is the same but minus the local HD]

    There are a variety of devices out there that do this kind of thing some are more simple like the Squeezebox which acts as a wireless terminal & speaker to your music collection on your PC. You could have more than one in the house and save yourself a lot of hassle from wiring up each room but with the caveat of the PC needing to be on.

    My brother in law is having something like that put in with speakers in every room but this thing plugs into the hifi I think, I will find out what company is doing the job.
