    Looking at car brouchures going what the hell.

    I would be grateful if anyone would know how to convert please

    1 gallon = 4.546 litres
    1 mile = 1.6 kilometres

    These are the measurements I use when doing conversions.

    It is very simple,

    Goto Google
    In the search box, type: convert *.*l/100km to mpg
    Click search

    The others have pretty much answered your question but I would not take very much notice of manufacturer's fuel consumption figures. They are optamystic at best imo.
