starts around 8.45 (which is advertised time, usually on time, give or take 5 mins).

start stack 1500 (plus 300 if you are there before end of level 1).
    20 min levels
75/150 and 150/300 included. First level is (I think, some debate on this in another thread) 10/25

Numbers usually around 50. I think I will be at this tonight myself, but have a poor Tuesday Fitz record.

Sounds like a nice structure. think i'll be heading in with a mate who's on a bit of a roll at the moment but play very few lives games. I'll be the grumpy student at the roulette wheel after 4 hands complaing about my poor luck.. come say hi! :p

Yea I will probably head along to this too. Have been eager to play some live tourney poker.

Depending on how my assignment works out... I might show my face to this...

Any chance of a last-longer sidebet?

  • Subscribers Posts: 32,859 ✭✭✭✭5starpool

seems like DIT vs the world then tonight. Ah well, I'm sure the rest of us non DIT types might adapt. I'll be the one doing a fair bit of talking and telling dealers they must do better.

Ah pressure. I'll go along with this despite not having a clue who ye are :p

    It's only been 6 1/2 years:eek: since I have been a student, practically yesterday.

It'll surely be a student sized wager though so a fiver is about right I presume? I will probably be playing the Omaha cash game by 10.30 though, so an easy fiver for someone.

    Luke, I suggest a fiver....

having won most of my entry playing cards at lunch im well up for this. i reckon i will finish in the top 97% and thats just ideal.

and yes DITpoker i am in flying form due to my new thinking attitude maybe if you stopped raising with 4 6 os you would be getting the results.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 3,860 ✭✭✭ditpoker

well maybe if you stopped folding when i riase with 64offsuit you wouldn't look like such a chump!!

Okay gang, Im going in tonight, and i'll put up a tenner for the last longer bet. Now I only know dominic (5starpool)so im afraid you will have to say hi to me. Also Dominic if any of our team for the Vegas nights events are around could you point them out to me.

    Cheers

    Will do Smurph.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,924 ✭✭✭shoutman

Ah well I will introduce myself to you when I see you Smurph.
And yes Brian fiver will do for our little side bet, as for the overall last longer bet is that a fiver or a tenner?

    Anyway see you all later.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 753 ✭✭✭Legend_DIT

Ok are all these people part of the last longer bet?

    Legend_DIT
    shoutman
    aodea
    5starpool
    smurph

    Should be fun....

    Anyone else wanna be included?

Side bet with you Luke is a fiver - I think overall last longer should be a fiver as well - my pocket's gonna be damaged enough but if everyone puts in a tenner I will too....

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 730 ✭✭✭aodea

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 3,860 ✭✭✭ditpoker

went out shortly after the break in this, was ahead after flop with 77.. was shortish stacked so cant complain.

aodea is at final table, 8th in chips tho!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,924 ✭✭✭shoutman

Good man Anto. I went out around the 30 place mark, that said I did outlast jeff(ditpoker) and dave (davfromnass)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 753 ✭✭✭Legend_DIT

I went out in 16th - AK vs JJ (He kept getting this hand!) and I didn't improve

Ah, I'm happy with how the day went - especially seeing as DIT performed well (escept for Jeff! :p) , getting someone to the final table....

Good to play with some people on here the atmosphere was great at all tables except my first - that was pretty quiet...

hey yeah finished 8th am gutted was up to 32k and 5th in chips at final; table a rasie to 8k at 1k 2k level i look down at jacks and push all in the guy thinks about it forever and calls he has 26k so he is all in and turns over aj love it flop comes an ace im gutted 6k left few hands later all in called by bb his 84 beats my aj.

was playing well kinda gutted but won tkhe last longer and at lunch time aswell as cash finish here so good day i supposse still mind cant help but wonder.........

That was me. I didn't think about it quite forever, I was just examining the alternatives between calling thinking I was most likely behind but possibly racing, the possibility that you didn't respect my raise since it was the second one in a row so you might not have had a big hand and the fact that folding left me with 18k (or whatever it was, I thought it was less) but calling gave me a chance to get a stack that had a chance of winning the tournament so I decided to call. I could have sworn it was the 1500/3000 level that hand happened at btw.

Unlucky anyway. I had quite a few lucky slaps in the face from the deck this evening.

Fifty euro goes in the prizepool and 5 is the registration fee, ie. what the card club gets. So you pay 55 in total.

2 people split it. Joe Giblin (kept getting Jacks, seat 3 on table 2) and a guy who had loads of chips from table 3 seat 1.

he was getting pockets all night if its the same guy who knocked me out, my sixs V's his queens.

Made 200 playing black jack and roulette as I walked out the door so it wasn't all bad :D

I was. I usually have 3 little monkeys as a card protector if that rings a bell.

Unfortunately he had most of my chips.
He was overplaying near everything, for example at 25/50 he raised 600 with pocket 6s,

An hour later I made a terrible call.

  • Subscribers Posts: 32,859 ✭✭✭✭5starpool

Yes, I would not rate him as a great player. Not terrible either, but I am never too worried to see him at my table though. Must have played ok last night though or just kept hitting, one or the other.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,924 ✭✭✭shoutman

on my table anyway it definately seems to be the latter.

seat 4 i think you were in? i was three to your left, seat 7, guy to my right kept getting big hands and stealing all my good cards! :p i played NOTHING before the break, finally played 77 and went out... very disappointing night from my poiint of view.
