Can anyone get to it? I haven't been able to reach the site in two days now. This is probably the wrong place for this thread but it's one of the most active and it's very easy for people to check it out, hence the reason for posting it here.

    Cheers lads.

Thats because the vodafone website is a big pile of pants, its always down at some stage for somebody. Vodafone dont even run it themselves, they hire an external company.

It's still down... bah what the hell are they at!

But will they then spam me to bits?

Vodafone's servers are actually run by Vodafone Germany, you'd think that'd make them efficient

O2's webtext is outsourced to zamano (an evil premium text company) but it seems to run very smooth.

O2's free SMS service is usually reliable. I use it daily.

I'm actually really annoyed with vodafone. The only reason I signed up was to get the free voicemail thing while I was a student. I had no credit... most of the time and it'd annoy me if I had a voicemail I couldn't check. But vodafone is so god damn expensive. I'm a ready to go customer, and a really short conversation - even to another vodafone customer costs a fortune. Even when their site works, alot of the time it won't let you log in. It gives some weird error 51. I'm thinking of going either back to O2 or over to Meteor.

Vodafone is the spawn of Satan tbh. I've ranted at length on this before. I suggest O2, *personally* I have never had any problem with them, whereas I've had multiple issues with VF, and Meteor pulled about 300 quid from my bank account last week-only noticed when I got the statement  .

I find metor top notch. I have 2 phones from them, one prepay and one post pay, and I must admit, I find them excellent and their coverage is everybit as good as the other 2 down(actually better in places) here in Waterford city.

my question for vodafone is that if they cant be @rsed providing me with a decent website and the free texts they promised then why should I be @rsed paying my full fone bill?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,082 ✭✭✭Tobias Greeshman

Changed to Meteor about 8 months back and their site is top notch. You'd be logged into their site and sending texts in under 20 seconds. Don't get me started on Vodafone, their charges are way over priced, their site has always for as long as I can remember being dog-slow and buggy at times. Why people stay with Vodafone I don't know.

Vodafone site is pretty much pants alright; had to call them this morning to order a phone as I kept getting automatically logged out when I tried to order it on line:rolleyes:
