I've been there lots of times. Costs about another 6euro to get into town on the flight bus.
Malmo is a small enough city even though it is Sweden's 3rd largest. The city centre is full of shops but for doing things other than shopping there isn't a whole lot. For about 9 euro you can get the train across the Oresund Bridge to Copenhagen. Lots of places to visit there and for kids there's the Tivoli. A good fun park in the centre of town. So I would recommend a weekend of exploring both Malmo and Copenhagen. Certainly worth seeing just for the experience. And it really isn't that expensive any more. On a par with Dublin.

Not for drinking in Copenhagen it's not! More than e7 for not even a pint in the Tivoli Gardens. Most pubs do happy hour type thing though. Tuborg Classic for around e2.50

Of course... in a lot of ways rip off ireland is a myth.. not saying things are not more expensive here than a lot of places BUT we are the second richest country in terms of GDP per capita in Europe so its not a big deal.

Anyway Paris is far more expensive

But you're not going to be getting pissed there. Anyway in some pubs in Dublin it's e6 for a pint. Apart from overpriced restaurants or pubs at attractions, which Dublin also has, most of the pubs in Copenhagen are the same price as Dublin. So yes, it's on a par with Dublin.

I found restaurants in copenhagen and malmo cheaper then Dublin but pubs were as expensive.

The science museum is really cool in Malmo and it is also a nic epalce to jsut wander around:)
