any tips for a HR interview?

    Hi, I applied for a techy job in a company. Great company, I really do want to work for them, I had a techy interview last week which I did well in (3 techy's in the panel). They called me back for a second interview which has only a HR person and the main techy guy in the panel. What can I expect from this interview? teamwork.. how do I work with other people? etc etc?

    Competencies interview more than sure: they will ask behavioral questions. Have a lot of experiences at hand from your previous job and sound convincing: you were driving the projects, you were the main contributor, etc ... how do you handle conflict ....

    the techy person most probably is the hiring manager, and this step is to validate that you would fit well in the team, and you have the competencies they require.

    If they called you back they think that you would are a good match, so be positive and confident ... just don't say something stupid.

    Yeah - give them the answers to the questions that they're going to ask, which will be along the lines of:

    why do you want to work for us?
    give an example of a time when you showed leadership
    give an example of a time when you worked as part of a team
    tell me about a project you saw to completion
    what are your greatest strengths? give an example of when they were demonstrated.
    give an example of dealing with conflict in the workplace, and how it was resolved
    why should we hire you?
