Hey guys! I play guitar in an original band and we are currently lookin for a serious, dedicated, funky bass player! At the moment there is just me and the drummer but we will get a singer later! We are reforming an old band that played with Aslan, Brian Kennedy and had a wide fanbase! We have lots of riffs so we`ll just be jammin them out n writing `till we find a good enough singer!!

Influences include: Zeppelin, GN`R, Hendrix, Pearl Jam, AC/DC, Thin Lizzy, Steve Vai etc. We play basically funk/groove/riff rock!!

You must have good chops and know some theory! Preferably, play with your fingers!!

We`re lookin to make a go at releasing an album, website etc. and have a serious crack at it!!

    17-21 years old

    Drogheda area!!!

    hi. i play bass.

i've nearly 6 years under my belt as well as 11 on piano. (my theory is excellent. :P) i play with my fingers and thumb - rarely pick. 19 years old. south dublin (templeogue) area.

influences: iron maiden, deep purple, thin lizzy, ac dc, parliament/funkadelic, victor wooten, etc etc etc.

i'd be well up for fun, hard-rock riffage if that's what you'll be going for.

few questions: how old are the pair of you? any mp3s of yourselves? would i need to travel far to practice?

Sounds very good, I must say!! However, you`re right, you will have to travel to Louth to practice! That is quite a distance just for a practice! But bassists of youre caliber (if you`re not lying that is) are hard to come by so I`d like to give it a shot!

I`m 19 and the drummer is just 16 but he has unbelievable rhythm! Astonishing for his age!! I have a project studio in my house so to make your travel worthwile I`ll record some riffs and send them to ya to learn n we`ll jam on them!! We`ll bunse together to pay for your journey!!

Can ya name any songs or riffs that you just love?
