USB Headset Problem

I have a USB Plantronics Headset and it all worked fine until today, I installed a stream ripping program called Relay Music, which essential installed another audio device. Since installing that the headset wont work, when I plug it in it is detected but it doesn't take over as the primary sound device. So I uninstalled the program assuming that the extra audio device was the problem but still no joy... maybe the program left some registry entries that piss off the headset? I don't really know, any suggestions? Cheers!

You could check the device manager and see if the driver the program installed is still present under sound, video and game controllers & remove it if so.

Also check the sound card control panel usually an icon in the systray for anything that might control or prioritise the devices found by jack sensing.
