    Hey,

I recently bought a Samsung YH-925 of ebay, a quick question.

It came with a 2 flat pin plug (You know the kind), American plug, what do I do as regards charging it? I'm sure if I just get a 2 to 3 pin converter the power is still gonna be different, what should I do?

    Thanks!

    Shrimp,
I bought a Creative not to long ago with the 2 pin, i just got the 2 to 3 pin plug.

If you check the spec. at the back of the manual it will state if will suitable up to 220 volts.

Most units will be OK as these are shipped all over the world. If it is a European model it will be ok.

There should be a sticker on the plug itself saying what voltage it takes. If it says 110-120V/220-240V (or just 110-240V) then you're sorted and you just need to buy a plug adapter for about €6.

If it just says 110-120V, then you'll need a plug and voltage adapter, which will cost around €25 to €30.

Thanks guys for the feedback, I'll check the manual again and the plug, just out of curiosity, where would you say I could get a voltage adaptor if needs be?

    Thanks again!

Check the unit rather than the manual, in most places it must be written on the unit by law.

It may be cheaper to get a generic transformer, one with lots of end connectors and variable voltage output. If you know the voltage output it could even be matched to a phone charger. Strip the ends of the both chargers and twist them together (if you are handy with stuff like that).

Maplin, Dixons, Peats or Harvey Norman should have them.
