I got a cheap Compaq Presario computer (SR1719UK), its an AMD 3400+ with 512mb of RAM and 64mb of that is shared with onboard graphics (Radion Express 200) and onboard sound!, 200gig HD + 120gig HD, DVD burner etc. I think my Power Supply is only 300watts but I could be wrong,, I dont really know how to check exactly what watt it is.
Thing is if its only 300 Watt am I fairly limited to what graphics card I can get for my computer? Is there any decent graphic cards I could buy that would be fine on a 300 watt system? thanks

Well 300w is quite minimal even for what you have now. Id say the best (safest) card you could get might be a 6600GT, or a 7600GT. Be sure to check the requirements though. Id say up your power supple first to avoid trouble though. It's not good to have your PSU under full load.

With your current system you should just about get away with a current generation mid-range GPU.

But as DonkeyRhubarb said your best to update the power supply to something in the the 400W range if you want to open up all avenues in graphics card selection. This is about the cheapest good quality PSU I'm familiar with on Komplett cant vouch for any of the cheap Fortron/Source stuff (maybe someone else can).

With that in the system you can put in just about anything you want all the way to the top of the line graphics cards.
