Gas vs Electricity

    Hello,

Trying to decide wheter to go with a gas deep fat fryer or an electric one. I already have a gas one but it has broken down and the only person we can find to fix it costs 30 euro an hour, he charges from the minute he gets into hes car in dublin and he has to travel to athlone and back. Also he recons it will take two runs minumum and hes price dosent include the parts to fix it so it could work out quite expensive so im thinking it may be best to buy a new electric one.

Is there much difference money wise on what an electric one uses compared to a gas one. If it was quite similar id probably go eletric, i can get a good electric one for around 500-700 euro.

Hope someone can help soon as i need to make a quick decision.
