Dive and Shoot

I swear to god it's really begining to bug the sh!t out of me. I'm bloody doing it now, its an epidemic. Bunnyhoppings good as dead but this has taken it over big time. you dive to the ground theres no bloody way you're going to be shooting accurately straight away. what annoys me more is that i've started doing it, its almost like a Franny jeffers reflex, dive to the ground straight away, i don't even think about it anymore.

People were giving out saying support was too good and accurate, and so they screwed support unfairly(not too much), going prone and shooting straight away is the problem. I remember the original DoD incarnation was the same and they fixed it by 1.2. BTW that gayass roll annoys me to no end, i know it's an animation but it looks stupid.

Sometimes it seems like a total fluke , you are standing there ready for anyone to come round the corner , you spot someone empty the clip but he falls to the ground and just points his gun at you and you die . And you think "no way , bloody hacking git" , 5 minutes later you come around the corner , see someone , drop and fire once and he dies , and you think "bet he is smashing his keyboard now ".

I don't know how many times a guy has gone prone in front of me fired one bullet and killed me with full health. Then the rage blackouts kick in and my fist hurts from crt punches. I wish i had little lengths of timber to smash and break every time I die

I notice this too.

But I wonder if it's the way the game play's. Maybe we are not seeing exactly what the other player is seeing. There is a slight out of sync thing. And how BF2 makes up for it is one bullet kills you.

Does that make sense.

And what really annoys me is that it looks like they are firing their gun while they are jumping down on the ground and the gun isnt even aiming at you and what do u know ur dead already.

That role has gotten me killed so many times. The way it works is, my brain sees them rolling, and subconciously I think "Oh good, they won't be shooting for another 1.3 seconds", so I take that time to aim better, and before I shoot they're already shooting, much sooner than if they actually had to role.

If that made sense.

On another matter entirely, I havn't gone near BF2 since Oblivion has eaten my life.

Yeah I have to agree with Z i also have Oblivion fever. Dam them for making a stupidly addictive game, its ruining my life with its greatness.

Yes, I also have realised that if I forgo eating, sleeping and washing myself, not to mention making college more optional than ever, and I can squeeze 36 hours of gaming into every day! The council of mages would love to hear of my results.

I went all last week without showering.........I play soccer every wednesday........and I have a girlfriend.....I work in an office full of other people, man that game has consumed me.

How does the game/server synch me hitting the prone key with you watching me "do my funky roll"?
I mean immediately after hitting prone I can hit fire, yet my image is still doijng other magical things to everyone else?
