Hi all, thinking of heading to one or two of the shows in The Gate, any suggestions on what to see or what to avoid?

I went to see Eh Joe last night, just coz Michael Gambon was in it, possibly the best irish actor around, & also it was directed by Atom Egoyan.
I had to say, I felt a bit of an eejit, I knew nothing about it, so I wasn't expecting Gambon to sit on a bed for 40 mins & say absolutely nothing. There was a voiceover. Gambon's image on the bed was projected onto the stage, & that was quite impressive, but it definitely wouldn't be worth paying full price of €28 for 40 minutes.

Go to the RHA gallery off Stephens Green & look at the beckett videos there, I just don't understand his stuff to be honest. It's more like performance art than theatre imho.
