    so Gary Anderson reckons

    http://uk.sports.yahoo.com/02042006/13/eddie-jordan-biding-return.html

Hope so, not the same watching F1 with no Irish interest....
Lets hope he gets one of the 12 slots...

Thats excellent news. A jordan fan for, well since they started, and F1 just hasn't been teh same without flash Eddie.

Todays Irish Independent has the story. They claim that Eddie seems to have the finance in place despite not having a premises or team.

There are also reports that Eddie Irvine and Paul Stoddart are also interested in returning (not together!)

It Would Be Great For F1 If Ej Came Back. The Irish Spirit Did Wonders In The Early Days For The Craic. You Need Some Fun Especially Outside The Serious Top Few Teams. If There Were No Other Runners The Scenc Would Be Dead. Ej Wa Wa Says Get Going Again.

Apparently 22 teams have now made applications, and there's only 12 slots.

I wonder what the FIAs criteria are in who gets selected, I mean they could hardly just dump a current team to let Eddie Jordan and Paul Stoddart in could they. Dave Richards, Craig Pollock and Eddie Irvine are also all on the list, along with a couple of GP2 teams.

Personally I think they should get rid of the rule, let everyone qualify, but only the top 24 make the grid on Sunday. Thats what they did in the 90s and it would get rid of the fluff quickly enough.

Heres an interesting piece on this http://www.gp2006.com/news/controller.php?lang=en&theme=default&team_id=0&month=4&seasonid=14&nextMode=GpNewsForm&news_id=18623

I think a new team could easly take an existing teams place with midland being a likely target as the owners commitment to f1 has already been called into question. It would be interesting to see Minardi taking str's place :p

Prodrive will get the gig. Stoddart has already said he got his rejection letter. And I don't think all EJ's licking of Max's ass in recent F1Racing issues will be enough when he doesn't have any facilities.

Its unfortunate that EJ wont be making a comeback.I think he`s been missed alot more than that other playboy irish interest we had in the sport.I have to say though that Richards deserves it,I know he`s abit dull but his plans for a new team are rock solid from what I can see,his teams new headquarters for instance.EJ was always playing catch-up:(
