There is very little differance in price if you dont want to go the ebay etc. Try apple.com and komplett.ie.

yup you'll be pushing very hard to find them cheaper than anywhere else legit.

komplett afaik sell them for a 15 euro less, but there's a tenner shipping.

Don't Apple regulate the price for iPod aroud the world, the only difference comes from VAT/TAX variations in differnet countries.

I've a friend in Taiwan he can pick up most electronics far cheaper over there than over here, yet iPod's are nearly the same price

Anywhere you buy, you will have to pay VAT in the country you have bought it. (Even if you buy it in a tax free country you would have to pay duty bringing it back to EC)

The only way not to pay VAT is if the UNIT was bought for use in business, the VAT can be claimed back by the business using there VAT no.

Alot of small businesses and self employed people do with computers for home use, they can say it's for business and also use it for personal use.

It might be difficult to justify an IPOD as business use.

Thats what I mean, buy it for business use. I've done this before for a creative zen from Germany and a bunch of camera lenses too. It looks like I need to ship it to the UK though if I buy it from there. I've a friend in Wales so I'll probably ship to him and he'll bring it home at Easter. Now to go for a 30GB of 60GB.

I've been checking around Dublin for an Ipod nano 4GB and the price is a suspiciously uniform €209. :(

The one exception I've found is the O2 store (on Henry St) at €199.
