    Hi,

Just a quick question. Im selling a ps2 console and games bundle to someone in the UK. I was pretty sure that he should have no problem playing them in the UK but just want to double check there is no electricity, plug or television issues that would make the ps2 unplayable there?

    Thanks

Ok i found this website http://kropla.com/electric2.htm which indicates the voltage and plugs are the same. I presume all uk televisions have scart connections, id be amazed if they didnt (unless there very very old) so i think there should be no problems then?

It will absolutely without a doubt, completely and utterly work in the UK. There are no issues whatseover. It will will WILL work in the UK.

The uk has the same system as us, 220-240volts 50hz, and the tvs are pal.
Infact our plug system is called the UK 3pin plug, so no problem there.

You could infact use an irish PS2 in the us if you had the composite connector, the only thing you would actually need for the us is a transformer to up the voltage from 110 to 220v.

Al in all, you will have no problem getting a PS2 to work in the UK, if you look far enough even, the stock we get here in Ireland is from the uk. ;)

Yeah right - you try finding a PAL TV in the US! Only games that have NTSC options would be viewable.

Most TV's (well ones ive seen in WallMart) in the US are multiregion. They accept NTSC and PAL signals, except not from the tuner.

Dont forget the LCD's also, most are HD resolutions.
