i'm in a tournie with 190 starters online. there's 4 people left and i'm short stack with 17000. blinds are 500/1000. i get kj off utg. i put in a raise (3xblind) and bb raises all in. should i now risk it all on a middle hand or hope for a better hand with few chips?

Whats the BB's range? You should probably fold here in most cases as you still have enough of a stack to do damage with.

It depends on so so much, has he been doing this all night, the hands he's raised with has he shown them down and if so what are they.

If you don't have a read, Im laying this down. you have a good a few more rotations left and your stack is still one that could do alot of damage.

Lay down for me im afraid.

it depends on loads of factors, there isnt nearly enough information here to decide...
you should know what you're going to do in this situation before you raise though,or at least you should think about it...

he's got about 2 1/2 times my stack. i wasnt playing on his table until the final table so dont have a read on him. the other 2 stacks were about double his so i was very short stacked. in the end i called. he had ace rag and the ace held up. was wondering if i should have called or not. wish i hadnt but i had 2 lives.

if you lay it down and let the blinds pass you your still looking at 12.5 thats a reasonable stack to play with and can do lots of damage to others.

With no reads on this player and you only after coming to the table im laying this down in a flash * after a little play acting :D

In my honest opinion wrong play :D

but if he threw over ace rag, your about 60/40 or so, so your getting the right odds on your money.
